Since 1989 West Star has contracted with telecommunications companies for the installation of their equipment. We've set a standard for quality, reliability and on schedule service that remains unmatched in the industry. Our capabilities include D C and UPS Power Systems, signal processing, central office and switch installation, turn-key computer room facilities, and both satellite borne and terrestrial microwave construction. If your equipment goes in a computer room, central office junction or earth station, West Star engineers design it, and West Star techs can install it.
West Star Electric's DC services include but are not limited to engineering, furnishing and installation of DC power equipment in accordance with project specifications.
DC power equipment includes but not limited to rectifiers, switch mode power supplies, batteries, battery disconnects, bus bar, control and monitoring equipment, fuses, shunts, circuit breakers, cable, conduit, cable rack, terminations and cabinets or supports holding any of the above, as well as grounding for the above.

West Star Electrical Contractors has experience in installing, maintaining, testing and removal of all types of lead acid flooded batteries as well as valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries including EXIDE/YUASA, C&D POWERCOM, GNB and the TYLO Round Cell (Formally AT&T).
West Star adheres to IEEE 485 sizing recommendations, IEEE 484 installation recommendations and IEEE 450 maintenance, testing and replacement of lead acid battery recommendations. In addition, West Star technicians have had extensive safety and technical training in installing, maintaining and testing of lead acid batteries.
